The 'Lecturer'

Of late, Mommy noticed that Juan Or has been becoming more and more talkative. All sorts of things that he wants to tell Mommy, but Mommy could only make out certains words - all other words sound gibberish. The words that Mommy can remember hearing him say are:

  • cook fish
  • fishing
  • climb bed
  • cold titer (but he meant 'cold water')
  • stop
  • stupid
  • driving
  • car
  • moon
  • sunshine
  • ae-bu-bane (but he meant 'aeroplane')
  • OK
  • five (but he meant 'fries')
  • burger
  • Coco-lala (but he meant 'Coca-cola')

And the interesting part is that whenever he tells Mommy things, he always emphasizes with strong hand gestures - very much like a self-righteous political party candidate giving out ceramah (lecture), but in a kiddy way of course!

Watch this video. You will see this time he uses a lot of the word 'stop'. ^ ^ Is he asking Mommy to stop pointing the handphone camera at him? ^ ^

Smallkucing and mNhL, there was one time when he was with me, I was driving back home from work, the journey home was very jammed and halfway thru, he started fretting due to sleepiness but he refused to just relax and fall asleep in the car, instead he chose to cry and cry and cry. We were stuck in jam for half an hour and he cried continuously for that long too. By the time we reached home, I put him into the sarong to rock him to sleep, along the way hubby and I had a quarrel, then suddenly Juan Or vomitted all over himself and the sarong plus the floor too! So dah-lah hati panas, come home already so late, haven't eat dinner yet, some more still have to clean the vomit! So I got mad and scolded Juan Or that word for crying till vomit when he could have just relax and fall asleep. So i guess he must have picked it up from there. :-(

LOL! Such a cute pie! That's a wonderful progress for Juan Or, I personally think his speech and verbal development are quite well for a boy. Most boys I have seen couldn't talk that much at this tender age.:)

I would think 'stupid' is still quite pleasant to say, Juan Juan likes to swear... 'bloody hell', 'idiot' and 'bugger'! You probably can guess from who she learnt that from...:(

Alice Law, LOL! Ya, ya, I know who you mean! LOL! Same here too, maybe worse. I can only hope and pray Juan Or won't pick those up.

When the child learned to use word and interact with us, it is so cute and fun. Great job to Juan Or.

Prince n princess mum, :-D

Shenny's mommy, hehehe...that's why I better record it down on video before that phase is over.

Sheoh Yan, agree. It just feels nice for a mum to see her child wanting to talk even if it sounds gibberish.

Cheeyee, oh, yes, he loves to mimic what and how we adults talk. Probably he feels more 'adult' doing so! :-D
