For entry, Mommy tagged along with My Little Sprouts because she got the preview pass. Doors are only opened at 12.30pm, but we only entered at 1.00pm to avoid the long and massive queue. Books are aplenty and placed according to genre. BBW also provides customer service as in providing boxes for you to contain your 'loot', and thereafter you can get a number card indicating the location of shelf where they store your 'loot' (so that you can continue shopping without having to lug the books around!).
Variety-wise, undeniably, there is aplenty. Price-wise, Mommy would say it depends on books - some are still quite expensive, but some is a steal. It all depends on what you are looking for and your priority. Here is Mommy's 'loot'.....
The RM3 books (cheap!), except for Thomas the Tank Engine book which is RM5 (quite expensive considering it's just a thin colouring book but since Juan Or pestered, never mind-lah!). The 'Lady and the Tramp' and Winnie the Pooh' books are in hard cover.
Here are the RM8 books, all in paperback.
Here are the RM10 books - one is a book with cut-out models to make various dinosaurs and the other two books are hard cover, thick glossy pages type of books......cheap!
The RM12 ones.....the Transformers one is a full-colour comic book requested by Juan Or (reasonably cheap only) and the other one on Madame Chiang Kai Shek in thick paperback. For the same Madame Chiang Kai Shek book, Mommy saw one labelled (probably mislabelled?) as RM15 while the rest of the same books are RM12.
This time round, Mommy found a good selection of choo-choo train books for Juan Or. All of them are in hard cover, full colour glossy pages which normally would easily cost more than RM100 per book (or even RM200) outside. The top row one are RM20 each, bottom row left is RM25 and bottom row right is RM35 (but consists of 2 books in the box set).
So, how well did Juan Or cope with Mommy's shopping for books? Well, whenever Mommy stopped to browse books, Juan Or would complain and say,"Mama, why walk-stop, walk-stop!?" Because he posed this question too many times, finally Mommy told him,"Don't make Mama regret bringing you here. If you complain some more, then next year's Big Bad Wolf, Mama will come alone, you stay in the daycare!" He kept quiet and sulked upon hearing this.
After 2 hours of walking and browsing, Mommy decided to bring Juan Or upstairs to see whether there is any bench to sit. Well, there's none but we found some Gintell vending massage chairs! We were also lucky that the particular massage chair we chose does not 'cry' throughout the entire 1 hour that we sat there. Along the way, we met Cleffairy too and chatted for a while.
So how much 'damage' did the 'loot' cost? RM166.25 after the 5% OCBC cardholder's discount. After reaching home, Mommy checked the figure again and found that apparently the cashier has forgotten to key-in the three RM3 books! So consider it as an RM9 gift from BBW! Or consider it as an RM9 advertisement fee for blogging about the sale! ^_^

the place too big. didn't bump into u. I saw Alice law, chee yee n cleff. was wondering maybe u came later.
good buys especily the mdm CKS n the dead talk. I didnt hv time to cover the other sections at all. only kids n fic. by then my hands n legs were killing me.
Small Kucing, hahaha...I was hoping to bump into you too, but never mind, even if don't get to meet now, next time CNY season can also meet. For me, basically those genre that I sekadar so-so interest only I merely see and go, even the kids section this time also I sekadar see and go becos Juan Or has too many kiddy books already until don't know where else to keep! That also I think I still didn't manage to cover each and every single book table there. Hahaha....this time I'm more keen on history and biographies, not so much on kiddy books anymore.
Hi Alice Phua,
I have not seen your blog update for quite some time. You must be very busy. Thanks for dropping by my blog earlier. Really appreciate your presence.
The Big Bad Wolf sales again? OMG!, I wish they can come over to Kuching next year. My eyes roll when you mentioned the price of books there. There were darn cheap!
And I saw your book on Cath & Prince William's wedding. I really want that book. I am not a book reader but I do read books about celebrities. Ahaks!
So, you spend RM166 plus for the books? My, that's cheap considering then number of books you bought.
And your kids, pity them, because they don't really understand what shopping is about.
Have a nice day yeah?
I'm a big fan of Dr Porntip, nxt time u finish pinjam I ya!;D
I came across this sales thru many bloggers friends, too bad I dont think I have the time to visit...
Long time no see and Juan Or is a big boy now!
Willie, yes, I have been away from the blogging scene for quite a long time due to the demands of my day-time job. There has been a reshuffling of management since Jan 2012 and becos of that, my responsibilities have increased so much more yet the pangkat remains the same. COmpounding to my hectic schedule is that my son's daycare finishes at 6pm, so I have to make sure that work that cannot be postponed has to be finished on time so that I can pick up my son from the daycare preferably before 6pm. So all in all, that doesn't leave substantial time for me to blog and bloghop.
Hahaha...so you also like books about William and Kate? All the while I thought the William & Kate thingy only interests the ladies, didn't know this couple also appeal to men as well. *Grin* LOL, I also have a humble collection of books/magazines about Kate and William and about the British royals. Will put up a blogpost about it some day and make you go green with envy! *Evil grin!*
You have a nice day too! :-)
Alice Law, OK, no prob! Let me balut the book with plastic first, then when you are ready to start reading it, let me know, I'll pass the book to you.

All the while this Cleffairy that I had been corresponding with online....don't know what'e the face like behind the typed words....but now I know! :-) Hehehe, thanks...the pictures of me you see in the blog and Facebook are the time when I still cincai-cincai about my apprearance because that time still very busy taking care of Juan Or to the point of neglecting myself! But now different already, what you see now got put make up one....heheheh! ^_^
P/S: Last time during my pre-pregnancy time, I never think of putting make up, maybe just put lipstick on special occasion. But now, different story already! ^_^
Willie, OK, will do. Maybe in about 2 or 3 blogposts from this point onwards, I'll blog about my William & Kate collection. :-) Please bear with me.
Prince n Princess' Mum, thanks, ya!
