All went well, he was sleeping there happily until at about 4 months old, he had flu and stuffy nose, so tends to cry. So whenever he cried, Ma would come up to my bedroom and take him downstairs to rock in the spring cot till he fell asleep. So from that day onwards, his dependency on the spring cot started. I know she's trying to be helpful, but she didn't know the consequence of her own actions - that baby can become 'pampered', so much so the baby becomes dependent on the rocking motion to fall asleep. Same for the pacifier too. Pa and Ma insist strongly on giving him the pacifier, so Juan Or becomes dependent on it during his sleeping time which is not what I hope to see of Juan Or. Sigh! This is what happens when Grandparents think they are lending a helping hand, but they don't realize they are actually 'spoiling' the baby. And yet if I point it out to them, Ma will start to give sarcastic and provocative remarks (hoping to spark a quarrel, perhaps?) Of course the best solution is to move out to avoid interference on how to bring Juan Or up, but sadly he still can't drink milk on his own without needing the babysitter to be around. Sigh! Still long way to go!

Wenn and Smallkucing, yes, it's still a long, long way to go before I can see the change!Alice Phuahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13855584025388823219noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1804080762233858200.post-4880437342482510522009-12-21T08:44:34.392-08:002009-12-21T08:44:34.392-08:00Be patient :)Be patient :)smallkucinghttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13083310952900700638noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1804080762233858200.post-38052814374341925982009-12-21T07:49:36.200-08:002009-12-21T07:49:36.200-08:00it takes time..just be patient..it takes time..just be patient..wennhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01535757998884625545noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1804080762233858200.post-17887019812202295102009-12-21T07:02:46.951-08:002009-12-21T07:02:46.951-08:00At night I have no problem putting both sprouts sl...At night I have no problem putting both sprouts sleeping on bed, the tip is I started them as early as they were born.

During the day it's quite hard to wean them from the spring cot due to a lot of distraction.

As for Juan Juan, she successfully weaned off the spring cot (at home)was actually after an accident. When her spring cot "timbered down" and broke its "spine", we told her we were not gonna get her a new one!

So "No Hammock"= "No Nia Nia"! She started to sleep on bed until now! ;)Alice Lawhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04771321722368712404noreply@blogger.com
